First, we would like to thank you for helping to support Louisiana music and it's musicians. Your ticket purchase for Down on the Bayou II will help fund the important work being done at the NO Musicians Clinic. This is a reminder that scalping tickets, online or in person is illegal in Louisiana. Out of respect to the artists and to the clinic we ask that you refrain from abusing their generosity by violating this law. Anyone found posting tickets online for sale for more than face value and service fees will have their tickets voided and their money refunded. We look forward to seeing you on the 29th.

WHY
Keyboardist JoJo Herman is a devoted fan of Dr. John and an adopted son of the New Orleans funk tradition. In October 2009 during Voodoo Fest Jojo produced the first Down on the Bayou at Howlin' Wolf as a "companion" concert to the benefit Dr. John produced for the New Orleans Musicians' Clinic.
The proceeds from Down on the Bayou II will help sustain the New Orleans Musicians’ Clinic (NOMC), a program of the New Orleans Musicians Assistance Foundation, (NOMAF) and their commitment to providing affordable, comprehensive health care to New Orleans’ most precious resource: our musicians musicians.

The musicians clinic (est. in 1998) is the brainchild by Dr. Jack McConnell ( father of Phish keyboardist Page McConnell).
The NOMC became the first healthcare initiative of its kind in the United States, addressing the unmet medical needs of local musicians, artists and their families. The NOMC strives to institute an agenda of wellness into the New Orleans’ musician patient population, which in turn helps to keep the music and traditional artistry of the city alive.
